Watch: Jung Woo Advises Lee Yoo Mi To Put Herself First In Teaser For "Mental Coach Jegal"

tvN’s upcoming drama “Mental Coach Jegal” has shared a new teaser featuring its two lead actors!

“Mental Coach Jegal” is a sports drama about a former national athlete who quits sports after causing a scandal and becomes a mental coach to help both former professional athletes who have retired and current athletes who have fallen into a slump.

Jung Woo stars as former national Taekwondo athlete Je Gal Gil who later becomes a mental coach at the athlete’s village. After he causes an unprecedented accident in the village during his athlete days, Je Gal Gil is permanently expelled and coined the unlucky Taekwondo prodigy.

Lee Yoo Mi stars as Cha Ga Eul, a short track speed skating gold medalist who’s fallen into a slump. After they meet, Je Gal Gil and Cha Ga Eul help each other face their inner wounds and reach turning points in their lives in the process.

The new teaser begins with Je Gal Gil and Cha Ga Eul facing each other at a cafe. When he boasts, “I was also a national athlete once. I’ve been one much longer than you have,” she rolls her eyes and quips, “I heard you were expelled.” Je Gal Gil has no retort for that one, and he willingly admits, “That’s right.”

The comedy ends when Je Gal Gil goes into mental coach mode. He earnestly watches Cha Ga Eul’s performance on the rink, and his eyes fill with concern when he sees her fall on the ice. He tells her, “At any moment, you have to protect yourself first,” making drama fans look forward to how he will sympathize with Cha Ga Eul’s pain and bring her out of her slump.
