TXT Becomes K-Pop Artist With 2nd Most Cumulative Weeks On Billboard 200 + Extends Own Record For Longest-Charting 2022 Album
As their latest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” continues its impressive run on the Billboard charts, TXT has achieved an exciting feat on the Billboard 200!
On August 23 local time, Billboard revealed that “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” had spent a 14th consecutive week on its Top 200 Albums chart, extending its own record as the longest-charting K-pop album of 2022. For the week ending on August 27, the mini album held steady at No. 179 on the chart.
Not only is TXT now the first K-pop artist to spend 14 weeks on the Billboard 200 with an album released this year, but they have also overtaken BLACKPINK to become the K-pop artist with the second most cumulative weeks on the chart. TXT has spent a total of 32 weeks on the Billboard 200 across all of their albums—a number bested only by BTS.
Over three months after its release, “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” also remains a force to be reckoned with on multiple other Billboard charts. The mini album climbed back up to No. 5 on the World Albums chart this week, in addition to sweeping the No. 9 spot on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart.
Finally, TXT climbed back up to No. 55 on Billboard’s Artist 100 this week, marking their 33rd overall week on the chart.
Congratulations to TXT!
