Watch: Namgoong Min Comes To Save The Day As A "One Dollar Lawyer" In New Teaser

A new hero is here!

On August 26, SBS unveiled a new teaser for its upcoming drama “One Dollar Lawyer” starring Namgoong Min as Cheon Ji Hoon, a lawyer who only charges an attorney’s fee of 1,000 won (approximately $0.75) despite his renowned skills. A hero who comes to the rescue of clients without money or connections, Cheon Ji Hoon isn’t afraid of facing off against the rich and powerful who use expensive lawyers to escape the law.

In the video, Cheon Ji Hoon makes a dramatic entrance in a flashy suit and sunglasses, and his ears prick at the sound of people venting about their unfair situations. One woman says, “I’m really not the culprit,” and another woman mourns, “No one believes me.” At the sound of a man asking for help, Cheon Ji Hoon is dispatched to the scene as he states, “I came because I heard that you were going through such a hard time that you felt like dying.” What’s even more shocking is that his fee is only 1,000 won.

Cheon Ji Hoon is no ordinary lawyer, and he doesn’t hesitate to throw himself in to hot water in order to defend his client. He throws tantrums in the police station, gets grabbed by the collar, and becomes involved in violent protests. Despite people raining on his parade, he confidently boasts, “I’ll turn the tables upside down at once.” There’s passionate justice burning inside his heart as he claims, “An attorney fights on behalf of his client,” and at the end of the video, he leisurely comments, “Isn’t that why lawyers are around?”

“One Dollar Lawyer” will premiere on September 23 at 10 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!
