TVING has shared an exciting sneak peek of its star-studded new show “Young Actors’ Retreat”!
“Young Actors’ Retreat” is an upcoming variety show featuring cast members from the hit dramas “Love in the Moonlight,” “Itaewon Class,” and “The Sound of Magic,” all of which were directed by producing director (PD) Kim Sung Yoon. The program will not only capture the reunions of the three dramas’ casts, but also explore the new chemistry between actors from different dramas as they hang out, play games, and take time to bond with one another.
The actors starring in the show include Park Seo Joon, Ahn Bo Hyun, Kwon Nara, Lee Joo Young, and Ryu Kyung Soo of “Itaewon Class,” Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Jung Jinyoung, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon of “Love in the Moonlight,” and Ji Chang Wook, Hwang In Yeop, Choi Sung Eun, Chi Hae Won, and Kim Bo Yoon of “The Sound of Magic.”
The newly released preview offers a fun glimpse of the actors having a blast playing games and forging heartwarming new friendships as they enjoy their vacation together.
Kim Yoo Jung remarked in a separate interview, “We made new friends while having fun playing games together, so you can look forward to seeing new and refreshing combinations of people.” As for the chemistry between the “Love in the Moonlight” cast members, she shared, “It was our first time meeting in a long while, but it really felt as though we had just seen each other yesterday, because we were still so close and had so much fun.”
Meanwhile, Park Seo Joon commented, “Thanks to the director, we [the ‘Itaewon Class’ team] were able to get together and see each other for the first time in a long while, and we made a really special memory.” He added, “I think there’s a very unique, rare kind of laughter in [‘Young Actors’ Retreat’] that’s hard to find in other variety shows.”
Describing the appeal of his “The Sound of Magic” team, Ji Chang Wook said, “Neither I nor my teammates have much variety show experience, so I think the youthful side that we showed as we adapted to this variety program will be our charm. I hope you’ll also look forward to our chemistry with the actors from other dramas that we met through this trip.”
His co-star Choi Sung Eun agreed, “I think it’ll be fun to watch the different teams meet awkwardly at first, then gradually become closer and closer.”
“Young Actors’ Retreat” premieres on September 9 and will be available with subtitles on Viki. In the meantime, check out the new preview below!
