BLACKPINK Tops Billboard's Global Charts For 2nd Week + IVE And TWICE Make Top 10 Of Global Excl. U.S. Chart And More
Korean girl groups have shown their power on Billboard’s global charts this week!
For the second straight week, BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” has topped both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts! Additionally on the Global Excl. U.S. chart are IVE’s “After LIKE” with a big jump to No. 9 and TWICE’s “Talk That Talk” at No. 10.
The Global 200 is based on sales and streaming data from more than 200 territories around the world, while the Global Excl. U.S. chart ranks songs according to data from territories excluding the United States.
From the tracking week between August 26 to September 1, BLACKPINK’s pre-release single “Pink Venom” recorded 108.4 million streams and 7,000 downloads, landing in the No. 1 spot of the Global 200 for the second consecutive week.
In territories outside of the U.S. in the same tracking week, “Pink Venom” topped the Global Excl. U.S. chart with 99.5 million streams and 5,000 download sales.
Jumping from No. 29 to No. 9, IVE has reached their highest peak on the Global Excl. U.S. chart with “After LIKE.” The group previously ranked at No. 10 with “LOVE DIVE” this past April.
TWICE has now also snagged their second top 10 ranking on the Global Excl. U.S. chart with “Talk That That,” recording 38.8 million streams and 5,000 sales outside of the United States. The group previously reached No. 10 with “The Feels” last October.
Additionally, TWICE has topped Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart for the second time in their career with “BETWEEN 1&2.” Their 10th mini album “Taste of Love” achieved this feat in 2021. According to Luminate (formerly MRC Data), for the week ending on September 1, “BETWEEN 1&2” has sold 94,000 copies in the United States. Not only is this a career-high for TWICE, it’s the fifth-largest sales week for any album released in 2022.
Earlier this week, TWICE became the first K-pop girl group in history to chart three albums in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 as their latest mini album “BETWEEN 1&2” debuted at No. 3.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK, IVE, and TWICE!
