BoA And NMIXX's Haewon To Appear On JTBC's New K-Pop Music Program
JTBC is gearing up for a new music program!
“Music Universe K-909” is a new show that will offer artists the chance to give their dream performance and gift fans enjoyable music. BoA will serve as MC while self-proclaimed K-pop pro NMIXX’s Haewon will be the “K-pop assistant.” They will also be joined by a “K-pop professor,” whose identity has yet to be revealed.
The poster for “Music Universe K-909” breaks down the program title as it reads, “K-POP that has turned the world upside down, K-909 that will turn that gaze upside down.” In the poster, host BoA walks towards the spotlight on stage.
As this is her first time ever hosting a music program, BoA enthusiastically commented, “While I’m excited, I also feel pressured. However, I think this is an opportunity to introduce good performances to many people so I’m really looking forward to it. I decided [to host] because this is a program that highlights performances where you can focus solely on the artist.”
She continued, “It’s to my knowledge that they are creating performances that showcase the variety of K-pop, and colorful performances that are not easily seen in Korea. I figure that this is the aspect that differentiates ‘Music Universe K-909.'”
Not only will BoA serve as MC, she will also act as a colleague and a successful senior artist who shares meaningful connections with the artists. She shared, “I hope this becomes a program where I can talk about album production with the artists, but also share comfortable conversation as seniors and juniors, or as colleagues. I also hope this approaches viewers as a beneficial program that provides the opportunity to focus on artists.”
“Music Universe K-909” will start airing on September 24 at 4:40 p.m. KST.
