BLACKPINK Makes Billboard History As "Pink Venom" Debuts On Pop Radio Airplay Chart
BLACKPINK has just achieved an exciting first on the Billboard charts!
For the week ending on September 10, BLACKPINK’s latest single “Pink Venom” debuted at No. 36 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States.
Notably, “Pink Venom” is the first Korean-language song by a girl group ever to enter the Pop Airplay chart, as well as BLACKPINK’s first song without a featured artist to achieve the feat. (The group’s only other chart entry to date is “Ice Cream,” their 2020 collab with Selena Gomez.)
Meanwhile, “Pink Venom” also spent a second week on Billboard’s Hot 100, its weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States. After debuting at No. 22 on the chart last week, “Pink Venom” stayed strong at No. 53 this week.
Additionally, “Pink Venom” swept the No. 1 spot on both the Global 200 and the Global Excl. U.S. chart for the second consecutive week, making BLACKPINK not only the first K-pop artist to top the Global 200 in 2022 but also the first to spend two weeks on the Global Excl. U.S. chart this year.
Finally, “Pink Venom” ranked No. 2 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, No. 35 on the Streaming Songs chart, and No. 48 on the Digital Song Sales chart this week.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK on yet another historic achievement!
