World Health Organization's Director-General Thanks Lee Seung Gi And "The Law Cafe" For Mentioning Their Recommendation On Salt Intake
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), personally thanked Lee Seung Gi and his new drama “The Law Cafe” for a recent shoutout!
In the first episode of the new KBS 2TV rom-com “The Law Cafe,” Lee Seung Gi’s character warns his tenants about the dangers of excessive sodium intake. Specifically mentioning the World Health Organization, he scolds his tenants by saying, “The World Health Organization—WHO—recommends a daily intake of no more than 2,000 milligrams of sodium. That’s 5 grams of table salt, which is about one flat teaspoon of salt.”
After the premiere, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus took to Twitter to thank both Lee Seung Gi and KBS for the mention.
Posting a clip of the scene, he wrote, “Thank you [in Korean] for the shout-out on WHO’s recommendation on salt intake, Lee Seung Gi and KBS, in your new K-drama ‘The Law Cafe’! Indeed, #LessSalt is better for our health—no more than a teaspoon per day.”
