Gorgeous Casts And Dazzling Stories: 5 K-Dramas With 'Beauty' In The Title

Beauty has always been a popular subject explored in K-dramas, especially since there can be so many diverse interpretations of the theme! Beauty is also subjective, so everyone has their own definition of it, and the message each drama wants to convey may vary quite a lot. While K-dramas about beauty have the added bonus of a gorgeous cast, the real gems are the stories portraying how the characters discover and come to terms with their own definition of “beauty” as well as their journey of growth to find self-confidence.

Here are five K-dramas that explore the theme and have “beauty” in the title:

True Beauty

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, the romantic comedy is about Lim Ju Gyeong (Moon Ga Young), a cheerful and optimistic high school student who uses makeup to deal with her insecurities about her appearance. She’s determined to hide her bare face from the world, so she learns to become an expert in makeup. She meets Lee Su Ho (ASTRO‘s Cha Eun Woo), a popular student who has his own emotional wounds, and they grow as they share their secrets with each other and learn to heal through love. Another point to watch out for is Hwang In Yeop‘s role as the wild but thoughtful Han Seo Jun.
