Don Spike Arrested On Charges Of Drug Use

Producer and singer Don Spike has been arrested on charges of possessing and using drugs.

On September 28, Nowon Police Station in Seoul announced that they filed an arrest warrant against Don Spike who is accused of drug use.

According to the reports, Don Spike was arrested at a hotel in Gangnam district in Seoul on September 26 around 8 p.m. KST on the charges of violating the Drugs Control Act, and he is being investigated at the Nowon Police Station. Don Spike has reportedly used drugs multiple times with his male and female acquaintances at hotels in Gangnam since last April, which was just before his wedding. At the time of arrest, Don Spike was carrying 30 grams of methamphetamine, which is about 1000 servings, estimated to be worth 100 million won (approximately $69,300). A police official remarked that more details about the circumstances of the crime are still under investigation.

On the morning of September 28, Don Spike attended the suspect interrogation ahead of detention and remarked afterwards, “I admit [to the charge of drug use]. I am sorry for causing concern. I will diligently engage in the investigation. I will pay for my wrongdoings.” However, regarding the details of how he got the drug and circumstances that led to drug use, Don Spike said that he will share the details during the investigation process.
