Watch: Han Ji Hyun Enthusiastically Signs Up For Bae In Hyuk's Doomed Cheering Squad In "Cheer Up" Teaser

“Cheer Up” has previewed Han Ji Hyun’s introduction to cheering squad Theia in a new teaser!

SBS’s “Cheer Up” is a new campus mystery rom-com about a college cheer squad whose glory days are long gone and is now on the verge of falling apart. Han Ji Hyun will star as Do Hae Yi, a rookie member of Yonhee University’s cheer squad Theia, who has a cheerful personality despite facing difficult circumstances at home.

The Episode 1 teaser starts off by shedding light on Do Hae Yi’s financial struggles, as she works as a delivery person and explains, “If I’m to break this cycle of poverty, I need big money.” Someone cheerfully responds, “How about letting those dreams go and living a carefree life like a freshman?”

Do Hae Yi appears to agree as she sets off to look for clubs on campus, where she comes across cheering squad Theia and their dedicated captain Park Jung Woo (Bae In Hyuk). Other people start to catch wind of this “doomed” cheering squad and its existing members try to gather support for their team. Someone explains, “The cheering squad has a three-set prophecy…and that’s this year.”

Later, Do Hae Yi jokingly asks classmate Jin Seon Ho (Kim Hyun Jin) whether he has feelings for her. He nonchalantly replies, “yes” and shows determination to have her join the squad.

Eventually, Do Hae Yi goes to sign up for Theia when Park Jung Woo warns her, “There are crazy people [in the squad]. Will you be okay?” She responds with a big smile, “Oh! That’s okay.”
