Han Ji Hyun Can't Help Getting Jealous Over Bae In Hyuk In "Cheer Up"
The love triangle is heating up on SBS’s new drama “Cheer Up“!
“Cheer Up” is a campus mystery rom-com about a college cheer squad whose glory days are long gone and is now on the verge of falling apart. Han Ji Hyun stars as Do Hae Yi, a rookie member of Yonhee University’s cheer squad Theia, who has a cheerful personality despite facing difficult circumstances at home. Bae In Hyuk stars as Theia’s oft-misunderstood captain Park Jung Woo, who is a firm stickler for the rules but is also a romantic at heart, while Kim Hyun Jin plays fellow rookie Jin Seon Ho, a rich and handsome student who has always walked the elite path in life.
Spoilers
Previously on “Cheer Up,” Do Hae Yi found herself developing feelings for Park Jung Woo after joining Theia. However, she was devastated to learn that he was already dating Lee Ha Jin (Jung Shin Hye), the captain of a different college’s cheer squad.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, despite her best efforts, Do Hae Yi is unable to hide her jealousy as she sadly watches Park Jung Woo and Lee Ha Jin from afar.
Even with his girlfriend by his side, however, Park Jung Woo’s gaze soon turns to Do Hae Yi, raising the question of why she’s attracted his attention—and why he looks unhappy.
Meanwhile, Jin Seon Ho, who has been growing increasingly jealous of Park Jung Woo the closer the captain gets to Do Hae Yi, watches the interaction with visible disapproval.
The producers of “Cheer Up” teased, “In Episode 4, which will feature the cheer match, Do Hae Yi can’t hide her jealousy or her feelings for Park Jung Woo, even though she does her best to deny them. Furthermore, Park Jung Woo will undergo a change in his own feelings about Do Hae Yi, while Jin Seon Ho—whose bold pursuit [of Do Hae Yi] hasn’t stopped—will heat up the small screen by sending Park Jung Woo a warning.”
They added, “You’ll be able to enjoy the drama twice as much if you keep an eye on how the love triangle changes due to Do Hae Yi being named as the target of Theia’s third prophecy.”
To find out how this love triangle evolves, tune in to the fourth episode of “Cheer Up” on October 11 at 10 p.m. KST!
