Chae Jong Hyeop, Seo Eun Soo, And Park Sung Woong Confirmed To Star In New Webtoon-Based Drama
Chae Jong Hyeop, Seo Eun Soo, and Park Sung Woong will all be starring together in ENA’s upcoming drama “Unlock the Boss” (literal title)!
The upcoming drama is based on the original webtoon of the same name and depicts the story of Park In Sung (Chae Jong Hyeop), an unemployed job-seeker whose life changes after picking up a smartphone that speaks to him and even gives him orders. The smartphone found by Park In Sung claims that he is the CEO of a big IT corporation whose soul was trapped inside the smartphone after an incident. The story further follows Park In Sung’s journey to infiltrate the CEO’s office in order to find the truth.
On his new role, Chae Jong Hyeop remarked, “There was burden in portraying Park In Sung’s dynamic life of going from an unemployed job-seeker to a CEO overnight, but I am just grateful and honored to be able to work with many senior actors through this drama.” He added, “I’m working hard on filming with a grateful heart, and I promise to show you a great performance, so please kindly look forward to it.”
Seo Eun Soo will transform into a robot-like secretary Jeong Se Yeon who lives such a busy life that she can’t even afford to have a dream. Her character is said to be Park In Sung’s most reliable ally, and yet, she also has an unexpected charm that can turn her into his fatal enemy. Although usually indifferent to others, she becomes entangled with the strange Park In Sung—a meeting that ends up changing her life. Seo Eun Soo stated what drew her to the drama, sharing, “I was attracted to the theme of someone’s soul entering a smartphone. I am having fun filming while doing my best to make it a good drama, so please look forward to it.”
Park Sung Woong will be playing Kim Sun Joo, the president of the emerging IT company Silver Lining whose soul is trapped inside a smartphone after being embroiled in a suspicious incident. Kim Sun Joo is a world-class developer who has everything but a good personality. When he realizes he is trapped inside a smartphone after being chased by someone, he strives to find out the truth in order to return to his only daughter. Viewers can expect the crazy chemistry between the level-headed yet powerless Kim Sun Joo and the unpredictable, hard-to-control Park In Sung in their journey to track down the culprit behind Kim Sun Joo’s incident. Park Sung Woong said about the drama, “It is a comical yet mysterious drama with complex charms. We are having fun filming, so please look forward to it.”
The upcoming ENA Wednesday-Thursday drama “Unlock the Boss” will premiere on November 30 at 9 p.m. KST.
