Park Ju Hyun, Kim Young Dae, And Kim Woo Seok's Upcoming Drama "The Forbidden Marriage" Confirms Premiere Date
“The Forbidden Marriage” has confirmed its December premiere!
Based on the web novel of the same name, “The Forbidden Marriage” is a refreshing and exhilarating palace sageuk (historical drama) about the prohibition of marriage ordered by King Yi Heon after losing the crown princess seven years prior. One day, con artist So Rang appears in front of the king and says that she can be possessed by the late crown princess’s spirit.
Earlier, it was confirmed Park Ju Hyun, Kim Young Dae, and Kim Woo Seok will be joining the cast. Park Ju Hyun will be taking on the role of matchmaker So Rang, the owner of the tea shop Aedaldang who is also a con artist. With her refreshing and bubbly personality, she will delivery great energy to viewers.
Kim Young Dae will be playing the role of Joseon’s king and romantic lover Lee Heon. After losing the crown princess, Lee Heon faces a difficult period, but his life gets shaken up after he meets So Rang.
Kim Woo Seok will be starring as Lee Shin Won, an Uigeumbu Dosa (member of the judiciary organ) and the eldest son of Yeonguijeong (Chief State Councillor). Lee Shin Won is both coldhearted yet warm, and he is sweetly charming even though he appears nonchalant.
Yang Dong Geun will play Minister of War Jo Sung Gyun, Park Sun Young will take on the role of Ye Hyun Ho’s concubine Seo Woon Jung, Choi Duk Moon will portray a character who helps out So Rang, and Kim Min Ju will transform into Crown Princess Ahn.
The production team shared, “[The drama] will depict the risky romance of youths that blossom in a period where love is forbidden. Please look forward to the sensational romantic-comedy sageuk which has perfect chemistry from the actors on top of the charm of the original web novel.”
“The Forbidden Marriage” will premiere on December 9 at 9:50 p.m. KST following the conclusion of “The Golden Spoon.”
