OMEGA X's Agency Responds To Allegations Of CEO Being Violent Towards Members

OMEGA X’s agency has released a brief response to allegations of violence against the group members.

On October 23, one of OMEGA X’s fans took to Twitter to share something they had allegedly witnessed in Los Angeles while attending the group’s concert. According to the fan, they had been waiting for a food delivery outside when they “saw the agency CEO hitting the [OMEGA X members].”

The fan wrote, “My hands were shaking so much, I didn’t know what to do. The members were getting hit in front of me, but I couldn’t do anything.”

The fan also posted an audio recording of what is purportedly the CEO of OMEGA X’s agency yelling at the group and seemingly hitting the members. The woman in the recording can be heard saying, “Have you ever done that for me? When I was going through such a hard time, did he ever take care of me?”

When a male voice responds by saying something, the woman yells, “Hey, who do you think you are?!” The male voice says, “But he’s on the verge of collapsing,” to which the woman angrily replies, “I’ve collapsed before!” Something or someone can then be heard falling loudly, to which people react with startled murmurs before the woman says, “Get up.”

Afterwards, another person asks the woman, “What are you doing?” and a voice can also be heard whispering about a camera. The alarming clip ends with crying noises as the woman continues to talk.

Earlier this month, another individual claimed on Twitter that her mom had witnessed a woman repeatedly yelling at the OMEGA X members in public in Chile. According to her post, her mother first witnessed the woman yelling at two members of OMEGA X at the hotel, then yelling at them again in front of everyone at the airport, where she tried to get the woman to stop.

In a series of tweets, the individual wrote:

hi, so i’m not a fan of omega x and i don’t know them well but i would like to talk about something my mom told me about what happened yesterday at the airport. idk if i can talk about this here but i think it’s important to do so.

my mom was in chile for holidays (we’re from argentina) and she was coming back on monday, but the flight got cancelled so she had to stay at the hotel there (where omega x was staying as well).

when she was having breakfast, she saw two boys (members of omega x) that were being yelled at by a woman (who she believes [is their] manager or something like that). she thought that maybe they were celebrities because they had their faces all covered with caps and masks.

so then she found out they were from a kpop group called omega x. after that she saw them again in the airport, while waiting for the flight, and the same woman was yelling at them in front of everyone. my mom and her friends couldn’t believe it and she told the woman to stop yelling at them. then the woman left and nothing else happened, but she told me the members bowed at her as a thank you.

when i’ve heard about it i was really stunned and my mom told me she felt really bad for them, they looked also very respectful and kind. 

i really can’t believe how the company doesn’t do anything about this and i’ve also read about the situation with their tour.

actually my mom told me to make a complaint to the company because they cannot be treated like this. i’m not familiar with the group so i don’t know what to do exactly but i wanted to let the fans know about this.

please help spread this so we can stop these situations [from happening] ever again.

After the purported audio recording of its CEO was posted on October 23, OMEGA X’s agency SPIRE Entertainment responded to the allegations by commenting, “We will make a statement after checking the facts.”

OMEGA X, who made their debut last year, is a project group consisting entirely of idols who have already debuted in other groups (most of which have disbanded). Eight of the group’s 11 members also appeared on audition programs or survival shows such as Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2,” KBS 2TV’s “The Unit,” JTBC’s “MIXNINE,” and MBC’s “Under 19” prior to their debut with OMEGA X.
