Kim Sun Young And Lee Yoon Ji’s “Dream Palace,” Kai Ko And Vivian Hsu’s “Mama Boy,” And More To Be Featured At The Reel Asian Film Festival
The 26th Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival kicks off next month!
The Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival is an annual event that celebrates Asian cinema from all over the world. This year’s festival will take place from November 9 through 20 in Toronto and online for global cinema fans to enjoy.
A wide range of films will be featured to excite fans of any genre.
Director Ka Sung Moon’s “Dream Palace” makes its international premiere at the festival. Starring critically-acclaimed actresses Kim Sun Young and Lee Yoon Ji, “Dream Palace” is a realistic and relatable film about a woman named Hye Jeong who moves to a new apartment to start a new chapter of her life and gets entangled in a major conflict with her neighbors.
Making its Canadian premiere is Taiwanese-American director Arvin Chen’s “Mama Boy,” which stars Kai Ko, Vivian Hsu, and Yu Tzu Yu. The film follows the growth of a shy man named Hong as he meets Lele, an older woman who is the madam of a sex worker business. Breaking out from his mother’s control for the first time, Hong’s life begins to completely change.
