'Curtain Call' Kicks Off With Strong Ratings For Premiere Episode

Curtain Call” is off to a strong start just after the premiere of its very first episode!

The first episode of the drama that aired on October 31 amassed an average nationwide viewership rating of 7.2 percent according to Nielsen Korea, an impressive feat for the first episode.

The anticipation leading up to the drama’s premiere was unlike any other with viewers getting more than excited about the appearances of star actors like Kang Ha Neul, Ha Ji Won, Go Doo Shim, and Sung Dong Il as well as the drama’s spectacular scale and compelling storyline.

KBS2’s “Curtain Call” tells the story of an elderly hotelier from North Korea who doesn’t have much time left to live and a theatre actor who acts as her grandson in order to fulfill her final wish. Kang Ha Neul stars as Yoo Jae Heon, the unknown theatre actor who undertakes a life-changing endeavor, while Ha Ji Won stars as heiress Park Se Yeon, who manages the Nakwon Hotel owned by her grandmother Ja Geum Soon (Go Doo Shim).

SBS’s “Cheer Up” will not air this week to spend a period of mourning following the Itaewon tragedy.

tvN’s “Mental Coach Jegal” garnered an average nationwide rating of 1.8 percent, which is similar to the previous episode’s score of 1.9 percent.
