Stray Kids Becomes 4th Male K-Pop Artist Ever To Chart Multiple Albums For 5 Weeks On Billboard 200
Stray Kids has just achieved a major feat on the Billboard 200!
Last month, Stray Kids’ latest mini album “MAXIDENT” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, making them the only artist to top the chart with two different albums in 2022.
On November 15 local time, Billboard revealed that “MAXIDENT” had spent its fifth consecutive week on the Billboard 200 at No. 165, making it Stray Kids’ second album after “ODDINARY” to chart for five weeks.
Stray Kids is now only the fourth male K-pop artist in history to have more than one album spend five consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, following BTS, TXT, and NCT 127.
Even including female artists, Stray Kids is only the sixth K-pop act ever to achieve the feat (TWICE and BLACKPINK are currently the only female K-pop artists who have managed to chart more than one album for five weeks).
Outside of the Billboard 200, “MAXIDENT” held onto its spot at No. 3 in its fifth week on Billboard’s World Albums chart, in addition to re-entering the Tastemaker Albums chart at No. 9. “MAXIDENT” also remained No. 10 on the Top Current Album Sales chart and ranked No. 12 on the Top Album Sales chart this week.
Finally, Stray Kids climbed back up to No. 69 on Billboard’s Artist 100, marking their 12th non-consecutive week on the chart.
Congratulations to Stray Kids!
