ATEEZ's Hongjoong Makes Generous Donation To Celebrate Fan Club ATINY's Anniversary
ATEEZ’s Hongjoong has recently made a generous donation!
On November 17, World Vision, an NGO for international relief and development, announced, “We’ve received a donation of 10 million won [approximately $7,400] for ‘Dreaming Children’ from ATEEZ member Hongjoong.”
Hongjoong’s donation was made in ATEEZ’s fandom name ATINY in celebration of the fan club’s anniversary and will go towards World Vision’s “Dreaming Children” campaign.
The artist commented, “I’m incredibly happy to make a donation in our fans’ name in time for our official fan club ATINY’s founding anniversary. It’s that much more meaningful that I can help children who have musical dreams but are in less fortunate circumstances.”
World Vision’s president Jo Myung Hwan commented, “This donation where an artist participated in a donation in order to shine light on their fans will become a great example of another method to spread positive influence. In the future too, World Vision will work to use this donation well in helping children, who dream of becoming musicians like ATEEZ’s Hongjoong, dream bigger and try new things.”
During the first week of November, Hongjoong held a film photography exhibition titled “FROM NOVEMBER 7, 1998” to celebrate his birthday. While admission was free, the exhibition was set up so that spectators could each garner up to 5,000 points through various on-site events. After the exhibition, these points were exchanged into cash and donated. Earlier this month, ATEEZ also made a generous donation as a group to help victims of the Itaewon tragedy.
ATEEZ is currently travelling across the United States on their “THE FELLOWSHIP: BREAK THE WALL” world tour. Later this week, they will perform in Chicago, followed by concerts in Atlanta and Newark before they head to Canada in December.
