Watch: Kang Ha Neul Is Ridiculously Hilarious And Adorably Close With His Co-Stars On Set Of "Curtain Call"
The behind-the-scenes video for Episodes 5 and 6 of “Curtain Call” is here to add a bit of laughter to your day!
“Curtain Call” follows the story of Yoo Jae Heon (Kang Ha Neul), an unknown theatre actor who gets roped into pretending to be the grandson of the elderly hotelier Ja Geum Soon (Go Doo Shim) in order to fulfill her last wish. By signing onto this role of a lifetime, he becomes tangled in the web of secrets surrounding Ja Geum Soon and her family at the Nakwon Hotel.
The new making-of video for Episodes 5 and 6 is full of funny moments, lots of outtakes, and the cast’s usual, endearing antics.
Kang Ha Neul is at the center of much of the behind-the-scenes chaos, causing his fellow cast members and the show’s crew to burst into laughter at his adorable blunders and eccentric acting. During one particular scene, his exaggerated and over-the-top performance has Ha Ji Won in stitches behind him, ending with that shot most likely not being able to be used, but absolutely perfect for some B-roll footage!
Another scene involves Jung Ji So having to take care of a drunk Kang Ha Neul. However, the scene doesn’t go exactly as planned when she runs into amusingly unexpected trouble undoing Kang Ha Neul’s necktie. Then comes the moment when Jung Ji So must deliver a sharp slap to Kang Ha Neul’s cheek. When she accidentally hits a little harder than intended, Jung Ji So breaks out into a string of apologies while everyone else dissolves into laughter.
During rehearsals for a scene between Kang Ha Neul and Kwon Sang Woo, the latter actor proudly comments, “You…are really good at North Korean dialect.” Kang Ha Neul responds to the praise with giddy laughter as he runs in for a big hug. After they film, the director excitedly remarks, “You’re both so good at acting!” Kwon Sang Woo humbly replies while laughing, “I messed up. I messed up a lot.”
