NMIXX Describes Their Group Identity, Affection For One Another, And More

The upcoming issue of Elle Korea captures NMIXX’s exciting energy!

After the group’s photo shoot, the seven NMIXX members sat for individual interviews. Haewon addressed the responsibility she feels as leader, sharing, “I try to be strict with myself and generous to others but it’s really difficult. I want to play the role of giving stability to the team. In order to do anything well, I believe that there has to be a sense of security that your opinion will be embraced.”

On the other hand, youngest member Kyujin remarked, “I feel good when I hear fans say ‘she’s the choreography leader even though she’s the youngest,’ and ‘she’s commendable.'” Kyujin then affectionally added, “I want to resemble Lily’s innocence, Haewon’s assertiveness, Sullyoon’s delicateness, Jiwoo’s resilience, Bae’s sense of humor, and Jinni’s tenacity.”

Lily emphasized the importance of sincerity as she commented, “Because I lived in the quiet countryside, I was able to grow up surrounded by nature. Since I was spending time with people I loved, I didn’t need to be conscious of others. Thanks to that, I think I was able to show my true image more quickly.”

Touching on her performance-focused mindset, Jinni explained, “While individuality is also important, there needs to be balance for a performance to feel stable and powerful.”

When asked about NMIXX’s identity, Bae shared, “Words like ‘energy,’ ‘vitamin,’ and ‘atmosphere-maker’ come to mind.” She continued, “We always go on stage hoping that our energy is conveyed well to whoever is watching.” Jiwoo chimed in, “Whenever I think about us, I always think of rainbows. At first glance, all seven of us look bright and cheerful, but our individual personalities are incredibly different. Within that, I’m in charge of bold and lively energy.”

Sullyoon confidently answered, “Just like our ‘DICE’ lyrics ‘a number greater than a perfect 10, jump up higher than that,’ we will always move forward towards a future that is better than the present. We don’t want to miss out on titles like ‘all-rounder’ and ‘a talented group.'”

Following their first-ever comeback with “DICE” in September, NMIXX most recently released “Funky Glitter Christmas” as their first “INTERMIXXION single” released between official albums.
