Watch: Yoo Yeon Seok, Moon Ga Young, And More Describe Their Roles In JTBC's New Office Romance Drama

JTBC has released a clip from the first script reading for “Understanding of Love” (literal title)!

Starring Yoo Yeon Seok, Moon Ga Young, Geum Sae Rok, and Jung Ga Ram, “Understanding of Love” is a romance drama about four individuals with different interests who meet each other at the Yeongpo branch of KCU Bank and come to understand the true meaning of love.

The new clip kicks off at the start of the script reading where the star-studded cast gathers for the first time and excitedly introduces themselves.

After, Yoo Yeon Seok greets viewers as Han Sang Soo, an associate at KCU Bank. The actor comments, “Looking from the outside, associate Han Sang Soo has an image within the bank as a golden boy who was born into a wealthy family and grew up in Gangnam. When he was younger, he wanted to become ‘normal’ like his peers. He’s a character who works really hard at the bank in order to become ‘normal.'”

Moon Ga Young portrays Ahn Soo Young, a teller at the Yeongpo branch who she introduces as “potentially the best worker at the bank.” She adds, “She’s bright and very kind but is someone who has hurt in her heart.”

Regarding her role, Geum Sae Rok shares, “The character of Park Mi Kyung works as a senior associate of the PB team. She’s bright and confident, and when it comes to both work and love, she’s faithful to and honest about her feelings.”

Jung Ga Ram introduces his character Jung Jong Hyun, who is studying in preparation to become a police officer. He adds, “Currently, he’s working at the bank as a security guard. He’s a young man who lives diligently in this difficult environment and is always honest and full of love.”

With regards to what kind of drama “Understanding of Love” is, Moon Ga Young explains, “where a moment’s romance and a moment’s catastrophe coexist.” Jung Ga Ram chimes in, “[It shows] that you can accomplish anything through just love, even within dreary reality.”

Yoo Yeon Seok adds, “From Sang Soo’s perspective, thinking a lot about ranks in society and love. While watching, I figure that viewers will also be able to relate to this realistic love.” Geum Sae Rok shares that the drama helps one understand that nobody’s love is right or wrong, because love is to each their own.
