“Reborn Rich” is the new JTBC series starring Song Joong Ki and Shin Hyun Been. The series was highly anticipated as it is based on the popular web novel by Sang Kyeong, and it had some serious superstars as the main leads. With the series dropping three episodes almost every weekend, viewers are happy to see that the story is moving at a fast pace, which means less cliffhangers. If you’re looking for a reason to tune in, besides the fact that it’s been No. 1 in ratings for the past several weeks, here are five other reasons to watch!

1. Song Joong Ki

Song Joong Ki stars in “Reborn Rich” as Yoon Hyun Woo, a secretary to a wealthy and established family. He gets killed from a newbie in the company and is reincarnated as the family’s youngest son Jin Do Joon. He remembers everything from his past life and vows to take over the company to get revenge.

It seems fame and success follow Song Joong Ki wherever he goes. With his last project having been “Vincenzo,” the ratings for his projects continue to soar. The acting abilities and selection in projects only affirm that if Song Joong Ki is in a drama, it’s bound to be good. People can be rest assured that this project is no different. Song Joong Ki shines as Jin Do Joon. The way his character manipulates and strategizes is impressive to watch, and it keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. In this particular series, he has to put on a mask and live a double life, which Song Joong Ki is able to portray so effortlessly. His performance is nothing short of brilliant, but I would expect nothing less from the veteran actor!

2. Shin Hyun Been

Shin Hyun Been has skyrocketed to fame ever since her role in the hit series “Hospital Playlist.” Fans were drawn to her natural beauty, calm demeanor, and sizzling chemistry with co-star Yoo Yeon Seok. In “Reborn Rich,” Shin Hyun Been stars as Seo Min Young, a prosecutor from the Anti-Corruption Investigation Department. She was born into a wealthy family and works hard to try and fight for justice.

Shin Hyun Been brings the charm and charisma through this particular role. It’s a stark contrast from the other K-dramas she has done in the past, and she’s only showing her versatility as a top actress. Fans can look forward to seeing her intensity, and the romantic aspects of her personality really shine through. Her chemistry with co-star Song Joong Ki also cannot be overlooked – they’re the perfect duo!

3. Supporting cast and cameos

The supporting cast and cameos in this series are ridiculous. You have Lee Sung Min, Jinyoung, Park Ji Hyun, Kim Nam Hee, and even Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany, who has a role that is proving to impress the critics. The supporting cast is able to bring their respective acting talents, drawing in more intensity and emotions into the already high-paced storyline.

We also can’t forget Kim Kang Hoon, who plays the younger version of Song Joong Ki’s character. Despite being such a young age, he has impressed viewers with his realistic acting. There is no doubt that he has a strong career ahead of him!

4. Director Jung Dae Yoon

Long time fans of K-dramaland know who Jung Dae Yoon is. He is the master director who brought us brilliant works like “She Was Pretty,” “W,” “I Am Not a Robot,” and now “Reborn Rich.” His repertoire of successful K-dramas has put him on the list of the most successful directors in the industry. There is no doubt that given the success of the story thus far, he has channeled his abilities and talent into the series. Viewers can expect quality and perfection when it comes to Jung Dae Yoon!

5. The anticipation, twists, and turns

No one could have anticipated the twists and turns that this series would set viewers up for. Although the synopsis seemed intricate in the beginning, after the first couple of episodes, viewers can expect an even deeper set of plot twists that could not have been foreshadowed. Seeing Song Joong Ki’s character and the world around him evolve is fascinating, and there isn’t a second where viewers will not be entertained. The excitement of what’s to come is almost too much to handle!
