Update: SM Shares Update On NCT's Johnny, Jaehyun, And Jungwoo's Health

SM Entertainment has shared the following update regarding the health of NCT members Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo after they were in a set collapse accident:

Hello.

This is an announcement with regards to NCT’s Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo.

After the accident on December 9 during their advertisement filming, Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo underwent detailed examinations at the hospital. The examination results thankfully showed nothing other than minor bruises and they’ve all returned home. However, we will make the members’ health our top priority and they plan to rest so no aftereffects develop.

As a result, we’ve decided to postpone NCT 127’s pre-recording schedule for ‘2023 SMTOWN LIVE : SMCU PALACE @KWANGYA‘ that was planned for December 13. In the future, considering the stability and recovery of the members, we plan to make another announcement once the schedule is readjusted, so we ask for your understanding.

Three members of NCT have sustained injuries while filming a commercial.

On December 9, NCT’s agency SM Entertainment released a statement about members Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo sustaining injuries after a jungle gym set collapsed on the set of their ad.

Hello.
This is to make an announcement to fans regarding the injuries of NCT’s Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo.

Today, Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo sustained injuries as the jungle gym structure collapsed during their advertisement filming. They were taken to the hospital right after the injuries and are undergoing tests and treatment but will require detailed examinations. We will announce the detailed test results once the examinations have finished.

As a result, Jungwoo will unable to attend the December 10 broadcast of MBC’s ‘Music Core,’ where he is currently appearing as an MC. If there are schedule changes in the future, we will announce them in a separate notice.

We apologize for causing concern to fans who must have been shocked at this sudden news. We will prioritize our artists’ treatment and do our best for the members to recover quickly.

In a follow-up statement, SM apologized for being unable to share detailed explanations about the members’ injuries. They added, “On the set of their advertisement, there was an incident as the jungle gym structure that members Taeil, Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo had climbed, collapsed. Among the four members, Taeil slipped and fell and fortunately is in mild condition. As he had no discomfort, he expressed his intent to rest and not go to the hospital, so he is currently resting after returning home. If symptoms do occur later, we plan to receive hospital treatment right away.”

These four members are currently preparing to make a comeback in January 2023 with NCT 127’s “2 Baddies” repackaged album.
