BIGHIT MUSIC Briefly Responds To Reports Of BTS's Suga Enlisting As A Public Service Worker

BIGHIT MUSIC has responded to the reports of Suga’s enlistment.

On December 13, it was reported that BTS member Suga will be assigned to serve as a public service worker. The specific enlistment plans such as the time of enlistment have not been disclosed. In response to the reports, a representative of BIGHIT MUSIC shared, “BTS members plan to serve in the military sequentially according to their own plans. It is difficult to confirm the artist’s personal information.”

After reports surfaced, it was speculated that Suga was assigned to be a public service worker due to having received surgery in 2020. At the time, the agency released an official statement explaining the reason for making a decision to undergo surgery. In the statement, it was mentioned that, “Suga also felt that it was important for him to restore himself to good health to prepare for his mandatory military service as well as his post-service musical career. After extensive discussion with the company, the decision was made to undergo the surgical procedure.”
