CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa And Cha Tae Hyun's New Comedy-Mystery Drama Offers Glimpse Of Its Leads' 4 Very Different Brains
KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Brain Cooperation” (literal translation) has unveiled new character posters introducing its four leads!
“Brain Cooperation” is a brain science-themed comedy-mystery drama about two men who can’t stand each other, but who must work together to solve a crime case involving a rare brain disease.
CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa will star as world-renowned neuroscientist Shin Ha Ru, who possesses an “extraordinary brain.” The exceptionally sharp Shin Ha Ru is handsome, well-spoken, and incredibly intelligent, but there is one important thing he lacks: people skills.
In his poster, the frosty Shin Ha Ru is introduced as being a “genius” who “isn’t afraid of anything in the world.”
Meanwhile, Cha Tae Hyun will star as the too-kind-for-his-own-good detective Geum Myung Se, who has an “altruistic brain.”
A selfless pushover who is described as “fatally kind” and more concerned with the needs of others than his own, Geum Myung Se is essentially Shin Ha Ru’s polar opposite—and so when the two men team up to crack a case, they wind up clashing at every turn.
Kwak Sun Young will play Seol So Jung, a forensic hypnotist who possesses an “anxious brain.”
Nervous and unusually timid, Seol So Jung “has a lot of worries and pays a lot of attention to other people,” and she’s “not good at coping” with crises or difficult situations.
Finally, Ye Ji Won will play Geum Mung Se’s passionate ex-wife Kim Mo Ran, who has a “sexual brain.”
A woman who isn’t shy about her raging libido, Kim Mo Ran is cheekily described as having an “advanced somatosensory system” and being “sensitive to visual stimulation,” while “the parts of her brain related to emotion” are very active.
To find out how these four very different characters wind up entangled in one another’s lives, tune in to the premiere of “Brain Cooperation” on January 2 at 9:50 p.m. KST!
In the meantime, watch Cha Tae Hyun in “Police University” with subtitles below:
