(G)I-DLE's Jeon Soyeon Halts Activities After Testing Positive For COVID-19

(G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon has temporarily halted all activities after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

On December 27, Cube Entertainment officially announced that Soyeon had tested positive for the virus.

The agency’s full English statement is as follows:

Hello.
This is Cube Entertainment.

(G)I-DLE member Soyeon was confirmed to have COVID-19 today (December 27th).

Soyeon had symptoms of [a] sore throat today (December 27th) and tested positive through a self-testing kit. Soyeon immediately underwent [a] PCR test and received a positive test result today (December 27th).

Soyeon has completed the third round of the COVID-19 vaccination. Soyeon has currently halted all activities and is taking the necessary measures in keeping with the guidelines set by government health authorities.

Cube Entertainment will inform additional notice [sic] regarding (G)I-DLE’s schedule in the future.

Cube Entertainment will continue to follow the government health authorities’ prevention guidelines, and Cube Entertainment has placed artist health as a top priority and will continue to do our best for Soyeon’s fast recovery.
