Watch: "Girls Planet 999" Contestant Kamimoto Kotone Announced As Newest Member Of Upcoming Girl Group tripleS

Kamimoto Kotone of “Girls Planet 999” has been unveiled as tripleS’s 11th member!

On January 2, tripleS released an introduction teaser of Kotone, introducing her as the upcoming girl group’s newest member. Kamimoto Kotone is best known as a contestant of Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999,” which gave rise to Kep1er, where she finished in rank No. 24.

In the video, Kotone introduces herself in Japanese and her move-in date is listed as January 5, 2023.

tripleS is an upcoming 24-member girl group under the start-up company Modhaus, which is led by CEO Jung Byung Gi who previously worked as head of A&R for JYP Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment, Sony Music Korea, and more. Kotone is the 11th tripleS member to be revealed and some of her bandmates include former Busters member Kim Chae Yeon, “My Teen Girl” contestants Kim Yoo Yeon and Lee Ji Woo, and former P NATION trainees Kim Na Kyoung and Jeong Hye Rin.

The group debuted its first sub-unit tripleS AAA last October with members Kim Na Kyoung, Jeong Hye Rin, Gong Yoo Bin, and Kim Yoo Yeon. After each member is separately revealed, tripleS plans to make their official group debut later this year.
