Watch: New Idol Survival Program "Peak Time" Drops Intriguing Performance Teasers Ahead Of Its Premiere
JTBC’s upcoming survival program has shared two group teasers ahead of its February premiere!
“Peak Time” is a new idol survival program in which male idols who have already debuted will be competing as teams for the chance to become the next “worldwide idol group.” It was previously announced that Lee Seung Gi will be hosting the program, and Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun, WINNER‘s Song Mino, Jay Park, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany, Highlight’s Lee Gikwang, and INFINITE’s Kim Sungkyu will be the judges.
On January 1, “Peak Time” released performance teasers of two groups containing only their silhouettes without disclosing the identities of the members.
The first team did a powerful rendition of SEVENTEEN’s “Getting Closer”:
The second team impressed with their fiery cover of ENHYPEN’s “Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)”:
The production team of “Peak Time” shared the program’s goal. “We intend to show solely their skills without the boxes and labels attached to their teams’ names and images. [Through the program], people will be able to evaluate the teams purely by their skills without prior prejudice of their existing image and find new aspects or values of the teams that they did not know before.”
The performance teasers will be released at 6 p.m. KST every other day starting on January 1 via JTBC Entertainment’s YouTube channel, while full versions of the videos, in which their faces will be revealed, will be out after the first broadcast on February 7 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
Can you guess who the teams are based on their silhouettes alone? Stay tuned for more updates!
