Jo Yu Ri Cancels Schedule After Testing Positive For COVID-19

Jo Yu Ri has temporarily halted all activities after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

On January 4, WAKEONE Entertainment officially announced that Jo Yu Ri had been diagnosed with the virus that day—and that she would therefore be sitting out the upcoming “Webtoon Singer” shoot in which she was scheduled to participate this Friday.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is WAKEONE.

Our artist Jo Yu Ri was diagnosed with COVID-19 today (January 4).

Jo Yu Ri has previously received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and she currently has a sore throat and mild cold-like symptoms, so she has halted all of her scheduled activities and is focusing on treatment.

As a result, she will not be participating in the “Webtoon Singer” shoot that was scheduled for this Friday, January 6.

We will consider our artist’s health and recovery our top priority and take all necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We apologize for giving the fans cause for concern.
