VICTON's Seungsik Tests Positive For COVID-19 + Recommends That Fans Who Attended Fan Signing Events Get Tested

VICTON’s Seungsik has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

On January 8, IST Entertainment announced that Seungsik had gone into self-isolation after testing positive for the virus earlier that morning. According to the agency, all of the other members’ test results have come back negative.

IST Entertainment also recommended that the fans who attended VICTON’s in-person fan signing events on January 7 get tested as a precautionary measure.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello. This is IST Entertainment.

We are informing you that VICTON member Kang Seungsik has been diagnosed with COVID-19 once again.

This morning (January 8), Kang Seungsik tested positive on a self-test kit that he used as a precautionary measure. He then immediately went to the hospital and underwent a rapid antigen test, and he was ultimately diagnosed with COVID-19. [The other members] aside from Kang Seungsik—Im Sejun, Do Hanse, Choi Byungchan, and Jung Subin—all tested negative.

Kang Seungsik is currently in self-isolation in accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities.

We recommend that the fans who attended the in-person Soundwave and Makestar fan signing events on January 7 also use self-test kits as a precautionary measure.
