NewJeans Scores Their First Top 10 Hits On Billboard's Global 200 And Global Excl. U.S. Charts With "Ditto"
NewJeans is continuing to make their mark on the Billboard charts with “Ditto“!
On January 9 local time, Billboard announced the latest top 10 rankings for their Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, which show NewJeans’ highest-ever rankings!
Both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts began in September 2020 and “rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world.” While the Global 200 includes data from around the world, the Global Excl. U.S. chart considers data from territories excluding the United States.
On this week’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, NewJeans’ pre-release track “Ditto” jumped from its previous No. 11 peak all the way to No. 4. From the week of December 30 to January 5, the track accumulated 41.9 million streams (up 12 percent) and sold 3,000 units (up 35 percent) across all regions outside of the United States. This marks NewJeans’ first top 10 hit on this chart, with their previous entries including “Hype Boy” (peaked at No. 32), “Attention” (peaked at No. 34), and “Cookie” (peaked at No. 198).
NewJeans’ “Ditto” has earned the group another Billboard milestone with their first-ever top 10 hit on the Global 200 chart! From December 30 to January 5, “Ditto” garnered 46.5 million streams (up 12 percent) and sold over 4,000 units (up 41 percent) all around the world, skyrocketing the song to No. 8 after its previous peak at No. 26. “Ditto” is now NewJeans’ third and highest hit on this chart, following “Hype Boy” (No. 52) and “Attention” (No. 54).
