"Sweet Home," "D.P.," And "The Glory" Gear Up To Return With New Seasons In 2023
Netflix has shared details for the upcoming returns of three hit series!
2020 drama “Sweet Home” and 2021 drama “D.P.” will both be releasing their long-awaited second seasons in 2023.
Based on a webtoon of the same name, “Sweet Home” is about a loner high school student who moves into a new apartment when monsters start breaking out among humanity and the apartment residents are trapped inside the building. Song Kang, Lee Si Young, Lee Jin Wook, Park Gyu Young, Go Min Si, and more return for the second season. After barely escaping the Green Home, Hyun Su (Song Kang) was captured by the military, while Sang Wook (Lee Jin Wook) appeared with his burn scars having been healed. The new season raises anticipation for how Lee Kyung (Lee Si Young), Eun Yu (Go Min Si), and Ji Soo (Park Gyu Young) will survive in a world full of monsters and will introduce new characters played by Yoo Oh Sung, Oh Jung Se, Kim Moo Yeol, and Jung Jinyoung. “Sweet Home 2” is scheduled to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Netflix also gave a glimpse of Jung Hae In’s return as An Jun Ho in “D.P. 2.” Also based on a webtoon, “D.P.” (stands for Deserter Pursuit) is a series about a special military squad sent to chase down deserters. In addition to director Han Jun Hee from the first season, Season 2 will boast the return of the main leads including Jung Hae In and Goo Kyo Hwan as the D.P. unit duo An Jun Ho and Han Ho Yeol, Kim Sung Kyun as Sergeant Park Beom Gu, and Son Suk Ku as Lieutenant Lim Ji Seop. Actors Ji Jin Hee, Kim Ji Hyun, and Choi Hyun Wook are also set to join the cast for the new season. “D.P. 2” will be released in the third quarter of 2023.
First released this past December, “The Glory” is hit writer Kim Eun Sook’s newest project that tells the story of a former victim of brutal school violence who swears revenge on her bullies after becoming the elementary school homeroom teacher of her bully’s kid. Song Hye Kyo stars as the vengeful protagonist Moon Dong Eun, while Lee Do Hyun plays the complicated male lead Joo Yeo Jeong. The drama also stars Yeom Hye Ran, Lim Ji Yeon, Park Sung Hoon, Kim Hieora, Cha Joo Young, and more. “The Glory Part 2” will portray the destruction of the perpetrators of school violence led by Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon) as they fall into Dong Eun’s trap, and it is set to be released in March of this year.
