Get ready to meet Oh My Girl’s Seunghee in an all-new drama!
On January 18, a source from KBS2’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Oasis” (literal title) shared, “Girl group Oh My Girl’s Seunghee has been cast as Oh Jung Shin’s (Seol In Ah’s) best friend Ham Yang Ja in the drama.”
“Oasis” is a drama that is set during the 1980s and ’90s when South Korea was undergoing rapid economic development and cultural change. The drama will tell the story of three young people who give their everything to protect their dreams, friendship, and the very first loves of their lives. Previously, it was confirmed that Jang Dong Yoon, Seol In Ah, and Chu Young Woo will be taking on the roles of the three main characters.
Seunghee will be playing Ham Yang Ja, Oh Jung Shin’s best friend since their high school days. Her one dream in life is to become a singer, and she takes the bold step of moving from the countryside to the city in order to pursue her dreams. To her friends, she offers a refreshing sort of honesty, not afraid of being straightforward in her words and telling things exactly how they are. On stage, she captures people’s hearts with a hidden charm.
The “Oasis” production team commented, “You will be able to see Seunghee’s many different sides as she takes on the challenge of her first-ever role in a major broadcasting station series. Please look forward to Seunghee’s performance as she adds vigor to the series with her honesty and refreshing remarks as well as her best-friend chemistry with Seol In Ah.”
“Oasis” is set to premiere sometime in March. Stay tuned for more updates!
