NewJeans Takes Triple Crown + MONSTA X Scores Double Crown On Circle (Gaon) Weekly Charts
Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has revealed its chart rankings for the week of January 8 to 14!
Album Chart
This week’s album chart saw numerous changes, starting with MONSTA X’s latest release “REASON” making its debut at No. 1! NCT DREAM’s winter special mini album “Candy” also impressively jumped 14 ranks to snag the No. 2 spot.
Entering the chart at No. 3 was “THE PIECE OF9” by SF9, followed by Red Velvet’s “The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday,” which was recently certified triple platinum. In No. 5 was the SMC version of NCT DREAM’s “Candy” album.

MONSTA X scored a double crown this week with their “REASON” title track “Beautiful Liar” debuting at No. 1 on Circle’s latest download chart. Making its debut at No. 2 this week was BIGBANG’s Taeyang’s “VIBE” featuring BTS’s Jimin.
Last week’s chart-topper “OMG” by NewJeans fell to No. 3, while SF9’s new title track “Puzzle” debuted at No. 4. Rounding out the top five was NewJeans’ hit pre-release song “Ditto.”
Digital + Streaming Chart
After earning a quintuple crown on last week’s charts, NewJeans stayed strong with a triple crown this week! On Circle’s latest digital and streaming charts, “Ditto” maintained its top position while their title track “OMG” jumped into second place.
The rest of these two charts were identical, with “Event Horizon” by Younha taking the No. 3 spot and NewJeans making their third appearance on both rankings with “Hype Boy” in No. 4. Returning to the top five was LE SSERAFIM’s “ANTIFRAGILE.”
Global K-Pop Chart
The final part of NewJeans’ triple crown was on this week’s global K-pop chart where the group took over all three top spots! “Ditto” and “OMG” held on to No. 1 and No. 2 while “Hype Boy” was able to move up one rank to No. 3.
“ANTIFRAGILE” by LE SSERAFIM dipped to No. 4, followed by BLACKPINK’s “Shut Down” rounding out the list in No. 5.
Social Chart
The latest social chart was identical to last week’s! BLACKPINK continued their reign in the top spot, followed by BTS and NewJeans. In fourth was Choi Yu Ree, with Lim Young Woong in No. 5.
