Watch: Yoo Yeon Seok And Cha Tae Hyun Unintentionally Go On A Dog-Adopting Journey In Adorable Teasers For New Film "My Puppy"
Yoo Yeon Seok and Cha Tae Hyun’s new film has released adorable new teasers!
Helmed by “Midnight Runners” director Kim Joo Hwan, “My Puppy” is an upcoming film about cousins Min Soo and Jin Gook who are encountering life crises. In order to find the perfect home for Min Soo’s beloved dog, the two start holding interviews that lead them to more unexpected yet fateful encounters.
Yoo Yeon Seok plays the innocent and warmhearted Min Soo who dreams of creating a family with those he loves. As a certified lover boy, Min Soo would do anything for his girlfriend and puppy, but the roles switch when an unexpected crisis leaves Min Soo feeling lost.
Cha Tae Hyun stars as the loyal Jin Gook, who lacks money following the failure of his newly-opened cafe. As Min Soo’s brother-like cousin, Jin Gook joins him on a journey that unexpectedly leads to a life as a puppy caregiver.
Ahead of the film’s March release, “My Puppy” has dropped two new posters and its first trailer!
In the first poster, Min Soo and Jin Gook pose happily with their cute puppies. Above them it reads, “We will be holding caregiver interviews!” The second poster has a different atmosphere with Jin Gook threateningly holding up a fist towards Min Soo. With a sad and defeated expression, Min Soo hugs his puppy closely.
The trailer begins with an emotional chat between Min Soo and Jin Gook over drinks. As Min Soo cries about not wanting to hurt the people he loves, Jin Gook accidentally makes matters worse by wiping Min Soo’s tears with a napkin covered in spicy sauce.
After Min Soo proposes to his girlfriend, he explains to Jin Gook how her allergy is keeping them from his beloved dog. Jin Gook suggests that Min Soo should try finding a family who loves and cherishes the dog as much as he does to look after it.
The two begin running interviews to find the perfect owner for Min Soo’s puppy, but end up unintentionally adopting more pets of their own. After finding four abandoned puppies on the side of the road, the two try taking them to a shelter but are turned down because it is full. Unable to take on all the puppies, Jin Gook tries talking to the shelter head himself, but just winds up bringing home another puppy.

Given their experience, viewers can look forward to seeing an upgraded level of chemistry between Yoo Yeon Seok and Cha Tae Hyun. Additionally, director Kim Joo Hwan will go from sharing the story of two men in “The Midnight Runners” to two brothers in the relatable family film “My Puppy.”
“My Puppy” will be released in theaters on March 1.
