BTS's RM Becomes 1st K-Pop Soloist To Spend 6 Weeks On Billboard 200 With 'Indigo'

BTS’s RM has set a new record for K-pop soloists on the Billboard 200!

For the week ending on January 28, RM’s new solo album “Indigo” ranked in No. 193 on the Billboard 200, Billboard’s commonly used name for its Top 200 Albums chart that ranks the most popular albums in the United States.

Last week, RM tied TWICE‘s Nayeon to become the only two Korean soloists to have an album spend five weeks on the Billboard 200. Now with the album’s sixth non-consecutive week on the chart, RM’s “Indigo” has set a new record as the longest-charting album by a Korean soloist.

When “Indigo” debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 back in December, RM became the first Korean soloist to land two albums in the top 30 of this chart. His success did not stop there, with the album reaching a new peak at No. 3 in its second non-consecutive week, making RM the first Korean soloist to rank within the Billboard 200’s top three.

BTS has also made a notable group achievement on the latest Billboard 200 chart with their anthology album “Proof” coming in at No. 114 in its 32nd consecutive week.

On Billboard’s Artist 100, RM has now extended his record for the longest run by a K-pop soloist, spending his seventh week on the chart at No. 98.

“Indigo” is additionally ranked on various other Billboard charts, including No. 3 on the World Albums chart, No. 5 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 10 on the Top Album Sales chart.

Congratulations to BTS’s RM!
