LE SSERAFIM Sets New Record With Japanese Debut Single + Tops Oricon's Daily Singles Chart For 2 Days
LE SSERAFIM’s Japanese debut is off to a record-breaking start!
On January 27, LE SSERAFIM’s agency Source Music announced that the group’s Japanese debut single “FEARLESS” had successfully topped Oricon’s daily singles chart for two days straight.
According to Source Music, “FEARLESS” debuted at No. 1 on the chart after selling 132,621 copies on the first day of its release in Japan alone—marking a new record for the highest first-day sales achieved in Japan by a fourth-generation girl group.
Additionally, within just one day of sales, “FEARLESS” had already managed to achieve the second-highest first-week sales for a Japanese debut album by any K-pop girl group in history—leaving industry watchers curious to see just how much higher their first-week sales will climb before the week is out.
LE SSERAFIM’s music video for “FEARLESS” also hit No. 1 on both Japan’s YouTube Trends and Line Music’s Music Video chart after it was released on January 25.
Congratulations to LE SSERAFIM!
