Watch: Jeon Do Yeon Is A Single Mom By Day And Legendary Hitman By Night In Bold "Kill Boksoon" Teasers
Jeon Do Yeon’s upcoming film has confirmed its release date in a fiery new trailer!
Netflix’s “Kill Boksoon” is an action film about the hitman industry’s legendary killer Gil Bok Soon (Jeon Do Yeon). Right before she’s scheduled to renew her contract with the company, she gets swept up in an inevitable confrontation where she has no choice but to kill or be killed. The film will be helmed by director Byun Sung Hyun of “The Merciless,” which had a midnight screening at the 70th Cannes Film Festival.
The film’s first poster gives a dramatic look at top killer Gil Bok Soon, who works for the hitman industry’s best company M.K. ent., along with the various bloody weapons she uses so carry out her missions. She completes every request she’s given and boasts an impressive success rate of 100 percent, but is also a single mom raising her 10-year-old daughter Jae Young (Kim Si Ah). Ahead of her contract renewal, Gil Bok Soon decides to leave the company to work on her relationship with Jae Young, who appears to be hiding secrets.
At the start of the first “Kill Boksoon” trailer, Gil Bok Soon is shown as “Jae Young’s mom” at a social event for parents. When asked what she does for a living, Gil Bok Soon politely lies, “I just work at an event planning company.”
As Gil Bok Soon prepares for her real job, she comments casually, “It’s such a contradiction to be a mother while doing this kind of work.” She rocks a completely different look from the parent social as she visits the M.K office to see CEO Cha Min Gyu (Sol Kyung Gu) and his younger sister Cha Min Hee (Esom), a director of M.K ent. Gil Bok Soon later adds, “Killing people is so simple compared to raising a kid.”
While carrying out her missions, Gil Bok Soon ends up working with fellow M.K killer Han Hee Sung (Goo Kyo Hwan), who is definitely skillful, but fails to be recognized for unknown reasons. What kind of relationship will these two develop?
