"Boys Planet" Contestant And Woollim Trainee Jang Min Seo Drops Out Of Show

“Boys Planet” contestant Jang Min Seo will be leaving the show.

On February 3, Woollim Entertainment announced that trainee Jang Min Seo, who had been competing on the new Mnet audition program “Boys Planet,” would be dropping out due to severe knee pain.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello. This is Woollim Entertainment.

We are making an announcement regarding our trainee Jang Min Seo, who participated in Mnet’s audition program “Boys Planet,” leaving the show.

Due to the worsening of his knee pain, which he was already suffering from before [the show], our trainee Jang Min Seo expressed his desire to drop out of the program. After in-depth discussion, we decided to respect Jang Min Seo’s opinion and have him step down from the show.

We will do our utmost to support our trainee Jang Min Seo so that he can recover his health.

“Boys Planet” is the male version of “Girls Planet 999,” the 2021 audition show that gave rise to the girl group Kep1er. The program aired its first episode on February 2.
