Seol In Ah Is Jang Dong Yoon's Adorable First Love With Contrasting Charms In Upcoming Drama
Seol In Ah is the newest “first love icon” in KBS2’s upcoming drama!
“Oasis” (literal title) is a drama about three youths who fight fiercely to protect their dreams and friendship as well as their one and only first love in the turbulent backdrop of South Korea from 1980 to 1990. Jang Dong Yoon stars as Lee Doo Hak, who has an intelligent mind and clear soul despite growing up in poverty. He harbors a pure love, falling in love at first sight after seeing Oh Jung Shin (Seol In Ah), a transfer student from Seoul. Chu Young Woo plays Lee Doo Hak’s childhood friend and fated rival Choi Chul Woong.
The first new character still of Oh Jung Shin shows her smiling happily in her school uniform and adorably braided pigtails. Her charms shine through the photo, making it easy for viewers to predict how she will captivate both Lee Doo Hak and Choi Chul Woong.
Contrary to the bright and friendly vibes of the first photo, the next still captures a surprising side to Oh Jung Shin. With an intimidating expression, she blocks the person in front of her by holding out nunchucks. She makes it clear that she isn’t easy to approach and her confidence with the nunchucks leaves viewers wondering whether she’s actually able to use them.
Oh Jung Shin is changed into her gym clothes in the final still with a flashy yellow clip in her hair. She stares straight ahead with her arms crossed and a dissatisfied expression on her face. Who has bothered Oh Jung Shin to lead to this reaction and how is she going to take action?
Representatives of “Oasis” shared, “The synchronization between actress Seol In Ah and the bright, pleasant, young girl Oh Jung Shin is 100 percent. The character of Oh Jung Shin, who always boldly protects her dreams and love, will showcase the charms of a new ‘first love icon’ that suits both the past and present.”
KBS2’s “Oasis” premieres on March 6 at 9:50 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser here!
