KARA's Park Gyuri Denies Connection To Ex-Boyfriend's Fraud Case After Being Investigated As Witness

KARA’s Park Gyuri has been summoned as a witness for the cryptocurrency fraud case involving her ex-boyfriend.

Currently, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating “A” for fraud and violation of the Capital Markets Act after they spread false information to manipulate the market by issuing and promoting cryptocurrency linked to artwork.

On February 20, Park Gyuri explained to OSEN through her agency, “At the time, I was the girlfriend of ‘A’ and I’ve given a witness statement to the investigative agency as the former art gallery curator.”

She continued, “Throughout the statement, I clearly stated that I did not engage in any illegal activity related to the cryptocurrency business and did not obtain any unfair advantages. While I have no connection to the art-related cryptocurrency business, I will do my best to cooperate with the investigation.”

While the identity of “A” has not officially been confirmed, it is said that the pair confirmed their relationship in September 2019 and broke up in September 2021. This is when Park Gyuri was linked to art curator Song Ja Ho, who is the eldest grandson of the Dongwon Construction Industry family.
