Kim Min Kyu Struggles To Keep Up During Dance Training With J Black In "The Heavenly Idol"
Kim Min Kyu will be getting personal dance lessons from J Black on “The Heavenly Idol”!
Based on a popular webtoon and web novel, tvN’s “The Heavenly Idol” is a fantasy drama starring Kim Min Kyu as High Priest Rembrary, who suddenly wakes up one day to find himself in the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of the unsuccessful idol group Wild Animal.
In last week’s premiere broadcast, High Priest Rembrary and Woo Yeon Woo switched bodies and established a contract with unique conditions to return to their original selves. With the real Woo Yeon Woo not wanting to go back to his life as an idol, the terms for their switch involve High Priest Rembrary winning Artist of the Year as a member of Wild Animal.
With no choice but to agree with Woo Yeon Woo’s conditions, High Priest Rembrary is now in the thick of adjusting to his idol life. In the upcoming episode, dancer and choreographer J Black will be making a special appearance as Woo Yeon Woo’s dance trainer.
The newly released stills are from Woo Yeon Woo and J Black’s first practice. Completely lost, Woo Yeon Woo stares at J Black blankly with his arms crossed. At the same time, J Black looks back at Woo Yeon Woo with the same confusion, unsure of what he needs to teach him first.
As practice continues, Woo Yeon Woo does his best to get into a groove while J Black observes, but still ends up completely lost when grouped with his fellow Wild Animal members.
Another key point is that Woo Yeon Woo previously caused chaos when he stated during a live performance, “I don’t know dance.” With that dark history forever linked to him, how will Rembrary redeem himself and will J Black really be able to transform his helpless student?
Stay tuned for the upcoming broadcast of “The Heavenly Idol,” which airs on February 22 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
