Cha Tae Hyun, Jung Yong Hwa, Kwak Sun Young, And Ye Ji Won Share Closing Comments For "Brain Works"
With “Brain Works” coming to an end, Cha Tae Hyun, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, Kwak Sun Young, and Ye Ji Won have all shared their closing remarks!
“Brain Works” is a brain science-themed comedy-mystery drama about two men who can’t stand each other, but who must work together to solve a crime involving a rare brain disease. Jung Yong Hwa starred in the drama as Shin Ha Ru, a brain scientist who possesses an “extraordinary brain” that has everything except humanity. Cha Tae Hyun played Geum Myung Se, a very nice and considerate detective with an “altruistic brain.”
Ahead of the series finale, which aired on February 28, the four main cast members bid farewell to the drama and shared their gratitude to viewers.
First, Jung Yong Hwa remarked, “It’s a shame that ‘Brain Works,’ which I filmed for about half a year, is already over. I was happy to be able to play a new character, and everyone on the ‘Brain Works’ team, including the senior actors, co-stars, director, and writer, all worked really hard.”
Cha Tae Hyun shared, “I would like to express my gratitude to the director, writer, staff, and actors who worked hard to make this series. I also sincerely thank the viewers for joining us every week.”
Kwak Sun Young, who played Seol So Jung in the drama, commented, “I would like to sincerely thank the viewers who have given their love to ‘Brain Works’ up until now. The filming set was always filled with laughter, and I was happy to be a part of ‘Brain Works’ as Seol So Jung. Once again, I sincerely thank you for loving ‘Brain Works’ and Seol So Jung.”
Ye Ji Won, who played Geum Myung Se’s ex-wife Kim Mo Ran, remarked, “In playing Kim Mo Ran, I had to portray a character who had excessive sexual desire but who was also demure at the same time. It was difficult to express both of these characteristics within one project, but it was a challenge I was grateful for. Above all, I would like to sincerely thank the writer and director for incorporating my hobby of pole dancing into the series, as well as all the actors for their support.”
Lastly, Ye Ji Won concluded, “I would like to also express my sincere gratitude to the staff who worked admirably hard until the end, despite the cold weather, and to the viewers who supported the drama. I’ll pray so we can meet again in good health.”
The production team also commented, “Thanks to the viewers’ enthusiastic support, the actors’ passionate performances, and the staff’s hard work, ‘Brain Works’ was able to wrap up without any issues.”
The final episode of “Brain Works” aired on February 28 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
