"Fantasy Boys" Contestant Hinata Drops Out From The Show
Hinata has stepped down from MBC’s new idol audition show “Fantasy Boys.”
On March 6, an official from “Fantasy Boys” shared, “Hinata has decided to step down from the show due to a controversy over his private life. We plan to edit his scenes out as much as possible in the broadcast as well.”
Recently, an anonymous person posted on an online community claiming that Hinata committed inappropriate behavior when he was active as a TikToker. The individual wrote, “It is dangerous to let Hinata make his debut. I don’t recommend cheering for him.” When news broke out, Hinata reportedly admitted to a portion of the rumor.
“Fantasy Boys” is the male version of the idol audition program “My Teen Girl,” which gave rise to the rookie girl group CLASS:y last year. Helmed by producing director (PD) Han Dong Chul of “Produce 101,” “Unpretty Rapstar,” and “Show Me The Money,” “Fantasy Boys” is an idol survival project that aims to create a global boy group.
The show will premiere on March 23 at 10 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser here, and see all the contestants’ profiles here!
