TXT Overtakes NCT 127 To Become Male K-Pop Artist With 2nd Most Cumulative Weeks On Billboard 200
Over a month after its release, TXT’s “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” is still charting high on the Billboard 200!
On March 7 local time, Billboard revealed that TXT’s latest mini album was now spending its fifth consecutive week in the top 40 of its Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States. For the week ending on March 11, “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” stayed strong at No. 32.
Notably, TXT is only the second K-pop artist in history to have an album chart for five consecutive weeks in the top 40 of the Billboard 200, following BTS.
Additionally, TXT has now overtaken NCT 127 to become the male K-pop artist with the second most cumulative weeks on the Billboard 200, bested only by BTS. TXT has spent a total of 37 weeks on the Billboard 200 across all of their albums (while NCT 127 has racked up an impressive total of 36 weeks on the chart thus far).
After debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last month, “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” spent three consecutive weeks in the top 10 before falling slightly to No. 12 in its fourth week.
Outside of the Billboard 200, “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” spent its fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart. The mini album also swept the No. 4 spot on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart, in addition to ranking No. 20 on the Tastemaker Albums chart.
Finally, TXT took No. 29 on Billboard’s Artist 100 this week, marking their 39th non-consecutive week on the chart.
Congratulations to TXT!
