Will Kim Jung Hyun be able to safely remain with Im Soo Hyang in “Kokdu: Season of Deity”?

“Kokdu: Season of Deity” is a MBC fantasy romance drama starring Kim Jung Hyun as Kokdu, a grim reaper who leaves the underworld every 99 years to punish humans in the mortal realm. During his latest trip, he winds up meeting Han Gye Jeol, a female doctor who has the mysterious ability to order him around (played by Im Soo Hyang).

Previously on “Kokdu: Season of Deity,” Kokdu made up his mind to stay with Han Gye Jeol in the mortal realm past his limited time of 99 days. However, it remains unclear what will happen if he doesn’t return to the underworld once his 99 days are up.

Newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode hint that Kokdu will find himself in grave peril due to his choice to remain with Han Gye Jeol. Despite Ok Shin (Kim In Kwon) and Gak Shin (Cha Chung Hwa)’s efforts to dissuade him, Kokdu makes the dangerous decision to spend his day with Han Gye Jeol instead of being freed from his curse.

But just as Kokdu rises from his seat as if to race off somewhere, he is suddenly stopped in his tracks by immense pain. In the next photo, not only is Kokdu doubled over in agony, but he clutches the exact spot where he was shot by an arrow back when he was still human.

In contrast to their usual bickering, both Ok Shin and Gak Shin look deeply worried as fresh blood emerges from Kokdu’s old wound that won’t seem to heal.
