Starship Clarifies That WJSN's Luda And Dawon Are Still Members Despite Parting Ways With Agency

Although Luda and Dawon’s contracts with Starship Entertainment have ended, the agency has clarified that they are still part of WJSN.

On March 13, WJSN’s Soobin appeared as a guest on a live broadcast for YouTube channel “Han Moon Chul TV.” During the broadcast, Han Moon Chul, the show’s host and a lawyer who specializes in traffic accidents, asked Soobin if WJSN currently has nine members. Soobin firmly responded, “No, we are still 10 members.” She further clarified, “We’ve always been 10.”

To add on to Soobin’s comments, WJSN’s agency Starship Entertainment shared with TV Report, “Luda and Dawon have not left WJSN.”

Earlier this month, Starship Entertainment announced that eight members of WJSN (Exy, Seola, Bona, Soobin, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung, Yeonjung) had renewed their contracts with the agency while Luda and Dawon had decided not to. Additionally, the contracts of WJSN’s three Chinese members Xuan Yi, Cheng Xiao, and Mei Qi of Yuehua Entertainment, who have not promoted with the group since 2018, automatically came to an end.
