NCT 127 Introduces New Graphic Novel "NCT 127: Limitless" Using K-Pop Intellectual Property
NCT 127 will introduce a brand new graphic novel which will delve into the lives of the members!
On March 16, SM Entertainment announced that NCT 127 will be launching a graphic novel “NCT 127: Limitless” in collaboration with the graphic novel production company Z2 Comics and the global entertainment company Universal Music.
Presented in a manhwa (South Korean comic) format, “NCT 127: Limitless” follows NCT 127 in the midst of their world tour as the group rehearses for its biggest performance in America to date: a sold-out stadium show in New York City. The night before the concert, however, the group encounters mysterious dreams, thrusting Mark, Johnny, Taeyong, Jungwoo, and Doyoung in otherworldly scenarios. This ultimately creates a reality-crossing mystery that the five members alongside Taeil, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan will unite to solve. As NCT 127 grapples with this enigma, they must overcome their fears in both the real world and this new surreal dreamscape.
“NCT 127: Limitless” is the first graphic novel using K-pop IP (Intellectual Property), and it is meaningful in that music and artist’s IP have been reproduced as a new IP that goes beyond the boundaries of its genre. It is expected to provide a unique way for fans to enjoy graphic novels, music, and the K-Pop genre all-in-one.
“NCT 127: Limitless” is set to be released in late summer 2023 in standard hardcover and deluxe hardcover editions.
NCT 127 debuted in 2016 with the “Fire Truck” and has since found great success with massive singles such as “Cherry Bomb,” “Kick It,” and “2 Baddies.” NCT 127 recently completed their second world tour Neo City: The Link, which drew approximately 700,000 fans throughout 17 major cities.
