Idol Audition Show "Fantasy Boys" Postpones March Premiere Date
MBC’s new idol audition show “Fantasy Boys” (previously known as “Boy Fantasy”) has postponed its upcoming premiere.
“Fantasy Boys” is the male version of “My Teen Girl,” the audition program that gave rise to the rookie girl group CLASS:y last year. The show, which will be hosted by TVXQ‘s Changmin, was originally scheduled to premiere on March 23.
However, on March 17, MBC announced that the premiere of “Fantasy Boys” had been pushed back one week to March 30 instead.
The network explained that the reason for the postponement was because they now planned to broadcast the show simultaneously on streaming platforms such as Naver NOW and Japanese website ABEMA.
“We’ve gotten a lot of requests from global platforms, including American and European platforms,” said a representative of MBC. “We need to work on things like subtitles and translation in order to distribute our content.”
“Fantasy Boys” will now be airing its first episode on March 30 at 10 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out the contestants’ profiles here and the music video for the show’s theme song here!
